Relying on quality from the beginning

DEININGER CONSULTING is 40 and is looking to the future with optimism

On Friday, 17 December, Deininger Consulting can look back at 40 successful years. On this day four decades ago in 1981, Thomas Deininger founded a personnel consulting firm in Frankfurt. Since then, Deininger Consulting has placed more than 11,000 specialists and managers, both nationally and internationally.

During this time, it has contacted 760,000 candidates. Its clients from SMEs and large companies have often been associated with the firm for many years. The focus of placement activities is on first and second-level managers. Thomas Deininger: “We have every reason to look forward to the next 40 years with great confidence too.”

Deininger Consulting initially concentrated on recruiting specialists and managers in Germany, and founded branches in Berlin (1999) and Düsseldorf (2002). With the increasing foreign activities of its often SME German clients, Deininger Consulting also went international, initially in Eastern Europe, and then in Asia. Branches were founded in China (2007) and India (2008). The German investment in the international Eurosearch Consultants in Paris was taken over as early as 1997. Deininger has been active with its own offices in Poland since 2008, and in London since 2015. Domestic teams of consultants, who know the markets and mentalities from many years of experience, work in the Deininger foreign branches.

It was necessary to develop quality and professionalism in equal measure from the outset to meet the high human and specialist qualifications of the candidates. This is why since 1995 the Deininger Group has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, which provides an important quality basis for clients. Another milestone was the development of a professional research team in Frankfurt am Main with a groundbreaking database for the sector.

Deininger Consulting has also used artificial intelligence for some time. In addition to placing managers, the associate company Eurosearch Consultants GmbH has established active sourcing as a form of web-based recruitment on the European market. With the help of AI, it has been possible to identify targeted recruitment suggestions for specialists in lower and medium income groups in the main national and international digital media channels. In the words of founder Thomas Deininger, the firm also sees “enormous market potential” here as well.

From the very beginning, Deininger Consulting has focused on actively accompanying clients in national and international recruitment activities. In addition to specialist qualifications, at executive level there is also always a particular emphasis on psychological components. Clients and candidates should also match in human terms. The firm places great value on discretion and integrity. This includes not only absolute confidentiality, but also pointing out possible conflicts of interests to clients during a search assignment. All clients receive a final report, enabling qualitative and quantitative conclusions to be drawn about our cooperation in particular.

The partners, managing directors and consultants of Deininger Consulting contribute their expertise in the following sectors: energy/environment, electrical engineering, financial services, IT/digitisation, public sector clients, mechanical engineering, chemicals, consumer goods, construction/property, automotive, professional services and life sciences.

Our clients’ satisfaction has been confirmed over the decades by numerous positive responses. For example, Dr Hans Gutsch, Vice President of Compaq Computer Corporation for many years reports: “I have been able to successfully staff more than 50 key positions in management and supervisory boards with Deininger Consulting for 40 years.” And Dr Andreas Widl, Chairman of the Management Board of Samson AG, assesses: “Deininger Consulting has provided us with optimal support when staffing exposed management positions. The briefing, selection process and decision-making involved were highly professional.”

The global activities of Deininger Consulting are also reflected in memberships of numerous international organisations, such as the Polish-German Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw and the German Chambers of Commerce in Beijing, Shanghai and Mumbai.
